Advice Needed - Using QF FF Points

Hello,

Looking for some advice please. Have enough FF points for 1 x pax BNE-FRA-BNE in business class. Challenge is there are two of us travelling.

What is my best option:

1. Use FF points and book 1 of us BNE-FRA-BNE then purchase a J class fare on the same flights for the other?
2. Use FF points and book us both one way BNE-FRA and then purchase 2 x J class one way FRA-BNE?
3. Use FF points and book us both BNE-SIN-BNE return and then purchase a SIN-FRA-SIN for both of us?

I thought Option 2 would be the "neatest" but One-way J class fares on most carriers are expensive - only marginally less than a return. The purchased flights don't need to be QF but we both need to be on the same flight. I also lack confidence about booking one of us on an award ticket and the other on a "normal" ticket and having a positive/hassle free outcome. Or am I worrying about nothing?

Are there travel companies that specialise in one-way business class fares?

Appreciate any advice from others more experienced that I !

If you purchase one way fares it is best (read cheaper) that the originating country is not the "home market" for that airline eg. buy QF FRA-SIN-BNE not BNE-SIN-FRA.

Are you also after status credtis and FFP? If so make sure the award ticket is for the person not after status.

Another option is to book BNE-SIN-BNE on points and SIN-FRA-SIN using cash. Have previously seen good prices for QF J ex-SIN.
