That's what I never saw, the upper deck bridge, which led me to believe they couldn't accept the A380. Thanks.

Now I'm not so sure about this.

Certainly there's been a review:

http://www.dfwairport.com/vfr2030/ai.../P1_027127.php
... A list of necessary improvements for DFW Airport's airfield to accommodate scheduled service by ADG VI aircraft [388,748] was generated. These include runway and taxiway shoulder widening, structural analysis of cross-field taxiway bridges, terminal ramp, and terminal facility improvements.
There may have been progress on such construction since.

Well, if any airport this side of DIA has the room to lengthen, strengthen, and widen runways and taxiways, DFW is it. LGA or DCA it is not.

Do AA EXP's get a chance to grab a seat in zone A as well as WP? I have an upper deck seat now, but would love to get into the better seats.

In the past I've been able to do it when using my AA number in the booking, but not 100% sure that my QF number wasn't also in it (which gives WP privileges even though crediting to AA).

Going by these earlier posts, yes:

Given you have Emerald status

I would suggest getting the Qantas record locator and then going to Qantas's manage your booking and make sure that the AA number is in the booking and then use the "select seats" option; as an emerald member , you should have decent options

This lowly plat is sitting in the front cabin.

So you claim! Not a shred of evidence however to back up this claim.

QF is not like SQ and don't utilise the FQTV & FQTS fields.

Maybe not at flight time; QF is quite famous for changing seat assignments after transfer to gate control Even WPs (2 levels higher status than AA Plat) have had their seats changed to a less desirable one at times.

I have no idea how QF does it, but I have had BP with QFF number on it while flight credits to Aadvantage, though it was a year or 2 ago.

Wrong, QF is able to input the following different frequent flyer information (numbers) at checkin time:

Accrual
Redemption
Upgrade
Service

Do you have direct evidence of this being used?

I'm not referring to what is possible, but what is actually in place.

With a bit of thought, it is self-evident that JASA award requires all 4 fields. Person A can redeem JASA award for person B, who can be upgraded by person C and use higher status from another FF plan. 4 different FF numbers, the first 3 are essential to the JASA terms of service and the 4th has been grand-fathered in as QF has done this for at least 5 years, prob. closer to 10.

This deserves it's own thread, so I have started one.

Update to my own query. I used the QF PNR and selected 2A. Let's see if it still assigned next Aug.

The SMH today quotes QF as offering a 70 min International to Domestic connection at DFW. Is this for real given Immigration, bag collection / rechecking, moves between terminals etc?
