So there are times when Qantas at least regards the codeshare as one of their flights. |

However - as posted I would check-in to be done by the operating airline. For foreign departures the story is different. When leaving India on a QF flight number operated by Jet Airways I didn't expect, or receive any extras (no priority check-in, lounges or additional baggage allowance). |

Unfortunately, QF creates the illusion that anything with a QF code is a QF flight ( IIRC ie QF 200 to 399 ) with all the trimmings and perks. Those who are FT gurus know better. Again, unfortunately, those who do not know every permutation of the nature of code shares get stung from time to time. QF are not good at pointing out that code shares are not equal to QF metal flights.

Just hope you never fly on an QF code flight operated by AS. Here you can expect nothing more than a stern punch in the face regardless of status on QF.
