Anyone know what it is? Sounds like a strange addition to the club!
Oh and the SYD F lounge still does not have metal knives. In fact the one on my table right now is so blunt it's a slab of plastic. Methinks QF have gone too far with the re use of plastic cutlery.

So this really is the end of plastic knives in F despite the fork always being for more dangerous of the two?

It certainly is!
But given the large number of knifes to be produced and distributed internationally as they are shipped by sea will take a little bit longer.
Having not actually seen the knife - is it the same design as the plastic one, just metal?

They are the same yes. I seem to recall they did have the metal version around before thy changed to plastic. I could be wrong of course...

I hope not! I find those new seats quite uncomfortable; both in Business and Economy.
Those in economy are around 15cm shorter than before* and while the headrest does adjust upward, I find the top of the remaining/static backrest digs into my shoulders.
*(Business is around 10cm less)
