Pricing error?

The Qantas website says that for departures before Jun 8 there is a promo... LAX-BRISBANE $678/rt, I priced that with taxes it comes to $825/rt

http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airl...ustralia/us/en

Now it says that 2 stopovers are permitted for $150 each, ok, I thought so on the outbound sector I added in Brisbane as stopover 1 and Nadi, Fiji as stopover 2, I figure that the total should now be $825 + $300 = $1125 or somewhere around there but when I put it into the tool I get a quote for $1375... what gives?

Prices include fuel surcharges of $160 from the US. US and foreign taxes, fees, including September 11th Security Fee, are up to an additional $150 to $200 depending upon itinerary.

so I guess the extra $250 is taxes for the 2 additional airports? Hmm..that seems pretty steep.

Is there a way to request the upper deck on the A380, does Qantas seat selection process allow for that?

It could be one of several reasons:
- Extra Fuel surcharge for the additional flight/s.
- Various airport taxes etc.
- Nadi may not be a valid stopover for the fare.

The A380 has Premium Economy and Business on the top deck (Refer to http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/...2J32PY332Y.pdf ), so if you have an economy ticket you won't be able to select the upper deck.

The cheaper fares do not allow routing via NAN, so the return sector is priced using the more expensive SLRT fare, which is ~$400 more expensive (on a half-round-trip basis):
