AA/QR - MCO/ATL/DTW-SEZ - $1159+ r/t - Premium Economy / Economy Mix

American Airlines / Qatar Airways - Orlando, Atlanta, or Detroit (MCO / ATL / DTW) to Mahe, Seychelles (SEZ) - $1159+ roundtrip in premium economy. The domestic segments within the United States are operated by American in economy, The flight from Philadelphia to Doha, Qatar (DOH) is operated by American in premium economy. Lastly the flight from Doha to Mahe is operated by Qatar Airways in economy.

A one-way ticket originating in the US is $881+ in premium economy.

The cheapest base fare is valid now to May 23 or July 26 to December 8, 2024 or January 11, 2025 to end of schedule. No minimum stay. A stopover is free in London, but in the US a stopover is $150.

Maximum permitted mileage on each of these fares is 11290 miles in each direction. Orlando is the easiest departure point of the three for a creative routing. You can fly a few hundred miles in the wrong direction to MIA, then start your journey - MCO-MIA-PHL-DOH-SEZ-DOH-PHL-MIA-MCO - Unfortunately the economy segments book into O which is a fairly low level fare, but 25% of the few hundred miles down to MIA and back still is better than nothing!

From ATL the best routing you can do that has availability is ATL-CLT-PHL-DOH-SEZ and back and from Detroit - DTW-ORD/CLT-PHL-DOH-SEZ and back.

Deep-linking with ITA Matrix PowerTools works to book these routings.

Google Flights
DTW-SEZ - $1159 roundtrip (6.184 cpm) - https://www.google.com/travel/flight...fzskr23TYs6WY6
MCO-SEZ - $1387 roundtrip (7.126 cpm) - https://www.google.com/travel/flight...7QS1gm7MFt3SB9
ATL-SEZ - $1426 roundtrip (7.476 cpm) - https://www.google.com/travel/flight...ZPMLmSbEZHqreA

DTW-SEZ one-way - $881 one-way - https://www.google.com/travel/flight...YgtRDEFCQhpLy6

MCO-MIA-PHL-DOH-SEZ and back is $1391 roundtrip (6.698 cpm) (can't link to this routing because Google Flights multi-city search doesn't want to display it, but deep-linking from ITA Matrix to AA works)
DTW-CLT-PHL-DOH-SEZ and back is $1164 roundtrip (5.896 cpm) (again, Google Flights multi-city search doesn't work to find this, but ITA Matrix to AA works)

Very interesting.... However I can't get it to route through London for a free stopover. Should the London to Doha leg be on QR or BA?

It would have to be an AA flight to London and a QR flight from London to Doha making sure you're not exceeding the maximum permitted mileage.

Category 4: Flight restrictions

IF THE FARE COMPONENT INCLUDES TRAVEL WITHIN AREA 2
THEN THAT TRAVEL MUST BE ON
ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING
ANY AA FLIGHT OPERATED BY QR
ANY QR FLIGHT OPERATED BY QR.

I can try to see if I can get a connection in London to work later and post back with what I find.

I'm unable to get this to work. I have tried in both old and new ITA Matrix and even if I tell it to return results without checking if inventory exists, it won't return a routing through London. Something like DTW-PHL-LHR-DOH-SEZ doesn't exceed the MPM, but there must be a routing table that AA is enforcing even though the fare rules don't display one.

Thank you! I had a play around with it, but couldn't get anything close to the price using AA all the way through to DOH. It's not very useful to me, as a London based American but a great deal for anyone that actually want to go to SEZ!

Too bad it is just prem eco. Was playing with SEZ last weekend in C and it is so much more difficult than MLE to get something sensible
