OW - SAN - SEA or SEA SAN Business via ORD First $260-$300

If you want to get extra AA or AS miles, there are some SAN - SEA via ORD in first or SEA to SAN also via ORD one ways for anywhere from $255 to $300 throughout the season. There are some day flights on a very few select dates, most however are red eyes to ORD. You get both an AA and AS plane. You could possibly make it into an MR but you would have to spend close to 14 hours ish in either SEA or SAN

Found via matrix, but bookable via google flights on Alaska web site (be sure to select oneworld for airlines and unhide all of the flights)

This is fantastic! Something we can credit to AA and earn loyalty points at a decent price!

It can be made a little better by adding a stop in San Francisco (SFO) on the way - SAN ORD-SFO-SEA or the reverse. Technically that route can be accomplished for the same $253 as the original itinerary, but there isn't space available under the cheapest fare so the best we can do at the moment is $268 one-way.

SAN-ORD-SEA - $253 one-way - 7.346 cpm

Nope! No stopovers allowed. The maximum connection time is 4 hours.

There are a few differences in the fare rules between the flights I just posted and the ones the original post is referencing.

My post -
Ticket must be issued by March 14, 2024. Travel must be between April 9 and June 5, 2024. Travel is permitted on Tuesday / Wednesday / Saturday

Original post -
Ticket must be issued by March 27, 2024. Travel now to May 6, 2024. No defined day of the week.

Here are the fare rules for the flights mentioned in the first post.

When I was researching, there were a few dates where there was no red eye involved. Matrix is your friend on this one.

You'll earn 150% elite qualifying mileage - Earning Mileage Plan miles on Alaska Airlines - Alaska Airlines

If you credit to American you'll also earn 150% mileage / loyalty points - Alaska Airlines − Partner airlines − American Airlines

Flying SEA-SFO-ORD-SAN or the reverse for $268 one-way

Both airlines you'll earn 6372 EQM / LP's at a cost per mile / LP of 4.206 cents each.

If you credit to BA you'll earn 120 tier points for the one-way (Cost per TP - $2.24 or 1.75 GBP)

If anybody wants to book the one-way with the stop at SFO that I posted above, you need to book that today (according to the fare rules).

For those just looking for oneworld status, SEA-SFO-ORD-SAN on a Business Class fare would get you oneworld Ruby status after one roundtrip, and oneworld Sapphire status after two roundtrips, if credited to the Iberia Plus frequent-flyer program.

Is the SEA-SFO leg in Economy or in First? If in First (Business for IB Plus purposes), then it would earn 115 Elite Points, not 75.

would love to abandon AS and go for IB status instead, since you accumulate elite points way faster, sadly due to unforseen historical problems, my IB account is still at -90000 miles balance and I intend to keep it as a souvenir :P
