JL ORD-DEL in PY for $2100

For anyone looking for a last minute LP run on AA, great fare in Premium Economy on JL. ORD-HND-DEL-HND-ORD for 19,906 miles (according to GCMapper). Books into E class and when crediting to AAdvantage is 100% mileage earning + 25% cabin bonus + 120% status bonus as an EXP = just over 48K LPs. Use an AA credit card to book, it tops out at over 50K LPs.

There is a forced overnight in TYO, but lots of hotel options (Im staying at the Conrad which is a 10 minute walk from the Haneda monorail stop).
Barkinpark and AirP like this.

As a US passport holder, I dont need a visa to enter Japan for a stay under 30 days. JLs website has a great tool for checking documents.

Any ideas how Alaska earns on AA E fares? I assumed 100% at minimum but the Alaska website doesn't even publish earnings for E fares.

This on JL metal and not AA. I am just crediting to AAdvantage. It appears that you only earn 70% of miles flown on JL international flights (with a JL flight number on JL metal) when booked in E class.

That's the old earn rate through 12/31/23, the new earn rate for E is 100% + 25% Cabin Bonus. Just flew JAL from TYO to SFO in Biz and can confirm the new earn rate is effective. JAL might be the go to AA MR airline for 2024!

Alaska website still shows 70% earn on E for International flights. Was there an announcement with new earn rates?

Also I'm new here, what does "120% status bonus as an EXP" mean?

If you are an Executive Platinum with AA, you earn 120% of flown mileage

trapped I understood that jjangoo was looking at how this might credit to AS Mileage Plan. I totally agree with you on JL becoming the AA MR airline of choice - but I do have a soft spot for CX. Curious on your TYO-SFO. I see you got the 100% + 25% cabin bonus. Did you also get the bonus LP's based on your AA status (As an EXP it should be 120%)?

Search google/flights. Found the fare was still available, all in PE from ORD-HND-DEL-HND-ORD Feb 15 on the outbound and Feb 18 on the return.

I flew NRT - SFO in Bix (X), 5,124 Base Miles, 4,100 Status (Plat Pro at the time), 5,124 Cabin - Total Award Miles = 14,348, Total LPs = 14,348
- Hopefully this is helpful

Anybody found any other city pair combination to avoid the 20+ hrs in layover/Connection and still get the PE for the same price range for quick MR round trip.

Is this still the correct amount of LPs for EP when booking into PE E class DFW-HND-DEL (RT)?

49,540
Estimated Loyalty Points estimate based on the following criteria:

• Earn base miles 100% of miles flown
• Earn a cabin bonus 25% of base miles
• Earn a status bonus 120% of base miles
• Valid for travel from January 1, 2024

Yes, that looks correct to me.

20220 * 1.25 = 25275
20220 * 1.2 = 24264

25275 + 24264 = 49539 (close enough to your figure)
