TK Turkish-- BKK-IST-CPT-IST-BKK in J $USD 3285 Apr/May

Turkish Airlines Business Class.......Bangkok to Capetown in Business via stopover in Istanbul in Apr/May. $USD3285 so it must be an acceptable mileage run, too. I did not check the other dates. All the way lie-flat seats.

Is that a good fare?

It sounds quite expensive to me for the miles.

19700 miles r/t. 16.5 cpm at 100% earning, 13.5 cpm at 125% (assuming K class, TK tends to not earn a whole lot - rarely 200%). That seems pretty high to me.

For comparison, had a RTW ticket just recently with 26K miles (mostly earning at 200%, so total 45K-ish) at a similar price (could have been a bit less, but needed certain dates), resulting in something like 7 cpm - that's somewhat of a deal.

7 cpm is great. Can you elaborate on the route of the RTW ticket?

Could you please delete the thread. I mistakenly wrote this can be a mileage run but it is not. But I hope it helped some people.

This is not the mileage run forum but the premium fare forum and therefore the post should not be deleted based on its mileage merits (10 cpm for TK M&S) but based on how attractive the deal is.

It was posted in this forum earlier this year. The MXP-asia-AKL-US-MXP on *A, there is a long thread on it somewhere.
