AF/KL/DL - CAI-PPT - 44206 EGP / $1433 / 1360 EUR r/t - Premium Economy

Cairo, Egypt (CAI) to Tahiti (PPT) - 44206 EGP / $1433 / 1360 EUR - Marketed by Air France and operated by Air France / KLM / Delta

No minimum or maximum stay. The fare allows unlimited transfers if you want to make this an XP run, and adding on additional segments doesn't seem to change the price much. There is a stop at LAX on the way from CDG to PPT, but the flight number doesn't change, if you credit to a loyalty program that is fussy about flight numbers you might encounter difficulties.

Depart on these dates for the absolute lowest round trip cost -
November 24
January 20
February 6, 10, 20, 29
March 5

Crediting to AF / KL Flying Blue
XP - 120 (Cost per XP - $11.9417 / 11.3333 EUR)

Crediting to Delta
MQM - 35259 (Cost per MQM - 4.0642 cents USD)
MQD - 7051 (almost 5 times the price of the fare)
Redeemable - 35259

Crediting to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

aftaid you got the xp wrong here. Cdg-Ppt is a single flight mumber so only count once. Should be 80xp for the whole thing assuming csg cai counts as long 1.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if this was the case. I was looking at the Flying Blue fine print (terms / conditions) and couldn't find anything, so I thought it might count as two segments. Guess it's best to take a stopover at LAX or another domestic connection before arriving at LAX and after departing LAX.

Can a Delta GUC be used for this? I have my doubts but would be a delightful use.

Yes, as long as there is a Z fare available in business on your flight.

From the fine print over at Delta (the bolding is mine) -
6. Applicable Routes: Valid only for travel on routings with an upgradeable Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+ or a Delta Premium Select fare. Valid for use as a one-cabin upgrade on one-way travel on published fares and routings systemwide for flights operated by Delta Air Lines or Delta Connection carriers. For travel on Virgin Atlantic: valid for use on one-way travel systemwide. For travel on Air France and KLM: valid for one-way travel systemwide as long as the travel to and within Europe is connected with a long-haul route. A qualifying long-haul route contains a distance of at least 1,750 miles between Point A and Point B. For example, ATL-CDG would be valid but CDG-IST would not be valid as there is no long-haul route connected to the intra-Europe flight. For Aeromexico: valid for use on Delta-marketed, Aeromexico-operated flights to upgrade into Clase Premier. For travel on Korean Air: valid for use on one-way travel systemwide.

7. Applicable Fare Classes: Certificate may be used to upgrade on Delta Air Lines or certain Delta Connection operated flights on published retail fares booked in P, A, G, S, W, Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X or V class and upgrade into RV/OK/OV class on Delta operated flights, and may also be used to upgrade on Award Travel tickets and Miles + Cash tickets on Delta-operated flights, Pay with Miles tickets and Companion Certificates. Certificate may not be used to upgrade other published fares including those booked in Basic Economy. For travel on KLM-operated, Delta-marketed flights this certificate may be used to upgrade on published fares booked in Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X or V class and all fare classes upgrade into Z class. For travel on KLM-operated flights marketed by KLM, fares booked in Y, B, M, K, H, L, Q, T, N, R, or V class are eligible to upgrade into Z class. For travel on KLM-operated flights marketed by AF, this certificate may be used to upgrade on published fares booked in Y, B, M, K, H, L, Q, T, N, R, or V class into Z class. For travel on Air France-operated flights marketed by Air France and booked in Y, B, M, K, H, L, Q, T, N, R, or V class, customers can upgrade into A class (Premium Economy), or they can upgrade from W, S, or A class into Z class (Business Class). For Air France-operated flights marketed by KLM, customers with a published fare booked in Y, B, M, K, H, L, Q, T, N, R, or V class can upgrade into A class (Premium Economy), or they can upgrade from W, S, or A class into Z class (Business Class). For Air France-operated flights marketed by Delta, customers with a published fare booked in Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X or V class can upgrade into A class (Premium Economy), or they can upgrade from W, S, or A class into Z class (Business Class). In addition, customers traveling on an Air France-operated, Delta-marketed flight and booked in P, A, or G class can upgrade to Z class (Business Class). For travel on Aeromexico operated, Delta marketed flights this certificate may be used to upgrade on Delta`s published fares booked in W, Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X or V class and all fare classes upgrade into Aeromexico`s O class.
