SQ/TR - JFK/EWR-DPS - $921 r/t - Premium Economy

Singapore Airlines - New York (JFK) / Newark (EWR) to Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia (DPS) - $921 round trip in premium economy.

A new fare was filed last week and you can take advantage of this fare at the beginning of December. If you depart on December 2 or December 3 you can fly round trip to Bali for $921. The flight between NYC and SIN is operated by Singapore Airlines and the flight from SIN to DPS is operated by Singapore Airlines or Scoot. If you want a premium economy seat the whole way, Scoot operates widebody aircraft between SIN and DPS with a premium economy cabin, but you likely won't receive mileage for those segments if you credit to a Star Alliance partner.

No minimum stay. A free stopover in Singapore is allowed in both directions. The dates this fare works are very specific and narrow, unfortunately - see below.

Thanks! Yes - 17 to 18 hours in PE Is a long time, but I'd do it for this price! I have done NYC-HKG at a similar price in PE on CX several times. At least it's not economy!

Done it...it's brutal. And I flew it before they blocked off the single seats in the back of the plane and even sitting in them with no one next to me it was still beyond description. Cannot imagine having someone next to me for 19 hours...either window or aisle...but still would rather do this than spend hours in a connecting airport.

I've done SIN/NYC four or five times in PE. No matter how good the product, it is such a long time! I endeavoured to ensure I was extra tired before the flight, so I could manage around eight hours of sleep on board. Even with that I was climbing up the walls, resulting in me getting up and walking around a lot, and definitely making a nuisance of myself to the crew at the back galley.

Although I have survived so far, I've decided not to do it again, whatever the fare. It's C or nothing from now on. Or maybe the via FRA route.

Hmm, I could consider getting a cheap PE fare with the intention of bidding for an upgrade. Once on a SIN-JFK flight I snapped up a $999 offer! But the next time, where I was counting on a similar deal, the offer was over $2k! So it's more risk than I want to take.

The seat is definitely bigger with additional legroom, so not economy!

Crediting to VS Flying Club is similar to crediting to VS - 19074 redeemable miles for the PE segments JFK-SIN, and nothing for the Q fare. You'd earn 100 Tier Points.

I haven't looked at the fare details of this one - but most low cost PE fares are excluded from cash/mileage upgrades.

I had done DPS-JFK-DPS earlier this year. for about $1400 which was still a good deal - but boy that was long for PE. First row outbound - return on single seat...

If you care to start from CGK - most the time there is this United Business Class fare that is very often around $2400 or so - it just usually requires the early ANA flight and the late ANA flight into CGK - and if you start in DPS that's two extra nights lost
