HA - NRT - JFK one way in First (C) $1613

Two long stretches in lie flat out of Japan and into NYC with an opportunity for a stopover in Hawaii. Google Flights can find the dates, Matrix prices it out to $1613, but it falls down flat when you try to book. I was able to book directly with Hawaiian's website for a bit more than advertised (~$1708.45 per passenger x 3). Lots of dates in mid April available - if you search for the 1-stop Hawaiian only direct routing on Google and find the cheapest dates, you can do a multi-city ticket on Hawaiian for the dates that have the cheapest to get your deal. For example, leave NRT on 4/10 for HNL, then depart HNL for JFK on 4/16

You can actually make it price the same for going on to NRT-HNL-LAX instead on the Hawaiian website. Have not checked other destinations

Hawaiian doesn't actually have first class. On domestic routes business is coded as first. In most airline loyalty programs C fares will earn the same as J and P. JetBlue won't give you anything for a ticket booked in the C fare code.

The first leg op by JL is JL 784. JAL website shows it is a 767 with 1x2x1 business class seating up front.

HA website shows $1,617.65 USD on that date, without stopover.

So the JL NRT-HNL segment is actually in J and not F. The thread title should be renamed.

Does HA have lie flat in domestic F HNL-NYC (or anywhere, for that matter)?

Portland also has lie flats on the A330s that often fly between HNL-PDX. On days an A321 is used, F class seating is recliners, of course.

I have been tempted before to book this fare, but always hesitated because of the poor HA product, not so great irop options and poor credit to any major FQTV program. Interesting though that they lowered the price a bit; I recall previously seeing closer to $2400
