Am I calculating this correctly that it will net over $9k MQD for Delta? 22,524 x .40?

For around $3400, that's an impressive redemption

Looks like its correct. You should add your positioning flights as well and dont forget that you might need a visa for China depending on your travel itinary. If you need MQD I assume you live in the states - are there no better deals around for the yield?

Friendly reminder that for now PRC still requires a negative COVID test - EVEN FOR TRANSIT.

Actually they don't need. They just need you to fill in a e-form which is quick. (Though meaningless)

I would book this not for any particular FF yield (It.can be credited to QF.however), but just for the price to Australia (always an expensive start/end port).

Transit outbound via SVG is 2:30hr.

Transit inbound is 17:55. So a.hotel at SVG needed, but the Ramada on airport seems reasonable(?).

Transit Visa on arrival available is my understanding.

The Covid test is a declaration via WeChat app (does anybody know how to actually do this, however..!!??)

For a lie flat suite, this seems like.good value.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Based on TIMATIC and IATA interactive COVID restrictions map:

https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php

Passengers entering or transiting through China (People's Rep.) must have a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test (including home testing kit) taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.
PS. I also checked TIMATIC on united.com and it shows the same restriction.

Does anyone have any recent experience with MU in J on the 359 or 789, in respect to service, food, and seat quality?
