Do they actually sell the SFO/LAX-BOG/SAL flights as J, with a J product?

LAX - BOG is "real" business class again, but No for the SFO routes.

(This fare was ~$1900-2k back in the day, I hope those return someday!)

If the flight is non-stop to Bogota they likely do, but not to San Salvador. If there's a double connection at SAL and BOG, they likely don't either.

Keep in mind this LAX-BOG route appears to be operated by Wamos Air which has angle flat old J seats. Buyer beware!!

Took the BOG-MAD leg a few weeks ago. Absolutely pathetic and made Polaris looked like a 5-star product. Would not recommend AV to anyone.

Just flew BOG - LAX on that plane in the J seats. Seats were super uncomfortable. Definitely would not recommend at all.

Comical how they advertise that like its their flagship but most of the public wont know its a far inferior hard product to their 787

exactly. This is a great fare to demonstrate how inflated air travel prices have become. Its a 30%+ markup.

Funny thing is I knew it was going to be underwhelming on the A330 and I was still wildly dissapointed.

I don't know when back in the day is supposed to be, but this is mostly just regular old inflation as opposed to some sort of air-specific markup. Inflation's raised prices for goods 20% over the last five years. That $2000 ticket would be $2400 now, which would make this more like a 16% markup if you attribute the rest to airfare (or if the poster's "back in the day" is more than five years ago.)

I finally gave up with AV. They cancelled segments on me previously, and last year twice cancelled tickets I bought for a family member, all without notification. Their prices are keen, but enough is enough. Very disappointing.
