$150 higher than the sale from earlier this year SAS Premium Econ: $720-750 -- ORD to Europe -- JAN - MAR. Still good though. Thanks for posting. In for a few.

You can book through SAS. Looks like Saturday / Sunday departures and returns have the shortest layovers.

Interesting tidbid, if you skip the European segment on the outbound, SAS does not seem to cancel your remaining itinerary (inbound), but don't quote me on this or try it at home without adult supervision...

Shorter connections can be booked on SK. For longer connections and more convoluted routes GF does not seem to be able to generate a link from SK. I'd bet if you manually feed to the data to SK, it would reprice to much higher

we used this fare-type to BCN 2 weeks ago. A very nice ride; included lounge access at ORD and CPH/ARN, comfort kit onboard, upgrade on the intra-Europe segment (including food/liquor/wine), upgraded food (they had Premium Economy food trays for both meals which were different than what was served in coach). Only downside was toilets were behind the PE cabin in the middle of coach.

[QUOTE=mlbcard;35240844]Wow, yeah - google didn't give the link. I got as low as $568.[/QUOTE
Always look for alternatives, in particular booking directly with carrier, saves a lot of trouble and hassle sometimes.

Also, many of the layovers are long (eg. 8-9 hours) and the European flights (CPH or ARN to the destinations I want near the Alps) have average or below average legroom (according to google). Although the price is very attractive, I'm not sure the downsides (to me) make it worth while.

If anybody is looking for more mileage, SFO-DUB starts at $604 roundtrip.

If you want an immediate turnaround you can get that for $30-$40 more. It looks like Friday and Saturday departures are the cheapest for that. This one will earn you 21,274 status and redeemable miles credited to Aegean (Cost per Mile - 3.0185 cents / .028 EUR).
EDIT
You can also get to Rome on a few dates starting at $801 roundtrip (cost per mile is slightly worse, but not bad)

This one would earn 22015 status/redeemable miles credited to Aegean (Cost per Mile - 3.8258 cents).
