LH First / AMS - EZE - BOG 3100EUR return

This one has been around before for as low as 2600/2700EUR, but thought it was worth a post now that it has returned. Nice price to experience LH F on one of their longest flights.

Found the fare by playing around with Lufthansa's multi-city tool. Couldn't get it to work on ITA but if anyone can please share your search query

Note that EZE-BOG-EZE books into economy, but I'm sure someone will find a way to move those sectors into business without increasing the price too much.

seems like its avianca hence why it wont book as business since they dont offer business class intra-americas. You can however pay to upgrade which means having a better seat without any serving on their flight.

Why would anyone flies longest LH flight in F to follow more than six hours in AV economy seat out and in, instead of flying directly to BOG in F with cheaper price? No business class in AV A320 anymore. Yes, price is good but that is it.

Thanks for sharing OP. To me, I interpret this as a relatively cheap F class flight for a long stay Buenos Aries ... and a side trip to Bogota.

1. You don't need to do it back to back
2. It's not cheaper to go direct direct to BOG from what I saw
3. Could be interesting for someone who wants to experience F on the 747 but wouldn't pay the same to fly the A340 (me)
4. I wasn't aware there was no business anymore. Previously saw these exact fares with J flights on the A330 so assumed that would still be the case

A few reasons 😉

If you book an intra-Americas AV flight on the A330 or 787, they should let you upgrade to the J seats (but with Y service) for a fairly reasonable price. I think I saw something on the order of 300 USD for BOG-LAX.

Agreed.

It won't be attractive to all members here, but it's a useful post IMO.

only if the tickets is issued on AV. They have removed this option for the codeshares mid 2022

1. Of course you do not but that does not eliminate 2x 6h in AV economy seat. AV economy red-eye 01:25-06:00 in economy after LH F?
2. https://travel-dealz.eu/deal/lufthan...-class-bogota/ I did find lot of First class availability AMS-BOG through google.com/flights until November 2023 EUR29xx.
3. I agree about 747 vs 346 but still 2x6 hours is hardcore addition
4. Has not been for years, 3 or 4 if I remember correctly, same to/from GRU. I have flown GRU-BOG after AV change to A320.

as someone who has done SCL - BOG on Avianca last year and ending up in Row 3, i can not stress enough that if you're above 6' this is not just painful, but close to impossible. I thought Iberia was bad, but Avianca takes home the price

For the miles/status, FCT, long haul F experience. Many reasons. Calm down.

An alternative routing would be on BA/AA, AMS-LHR-MIA-BOG, the AA leg is in F about ~$2100 one-way

Is AA MIA-BOG F long haul F or short haul F?

Award miles on LH ticket are per cash spent plus AV 8,7k miles(around 20k total), status miles difference is 17,7k(9k+8,7k), FCT you got on both cases as the long haul F experience.
12h in A320 economy class(6h red-eye) for additional 17,7k status miles and 8,7k award miles by spending a few hundred euros more. My questions was neutral, no need to calm down, especially when choosing direct flight to BOG.
