As far as I can tell it also does not work with departures past October. The biggest issue with the fare for me is the required time in FCO. If anyone knows how to get a <2week turn around in Italy please let me know

It is possible, as yesterday I was able to book all on LH (in P) for Apr 2023. MIA-FRA-FCO / FCO-FRA-GRU. I booked direct with airline and staying for 7 days in Italy.

Did you actually call and book? I found some good fares from SFO-FCO, MXP-GRU or other points in South America (GIG, SCL, LIM) but they all said you have to call the airline...

This is interesting as 2 different fare rules -both round trip that can be combined and used as 1/2 r/t fares. Does show up sometimes on ITA- so should be bookable using Power Tools. I wanted to split into another trip but JFK-SCL max showed 3 months from outbound (MXP-JFK) so did not work for me.

Fare 1: Carrier LH PNA86KNC SFO to ROM
Fare 2: Carrier LH PNC30IA MIL to SCL

Which clicked to LH:
Friday, 08/26/2022 19:25 PM
San Francisco International, CA (SFO)

Rome - Leonardo Da Vinci (FCO)

Tuesday, 09/13/2022 06:00 AM
Milan Malpensa (MXP)

New York - JFK International, NY (JFK)

Saturday, 11/26/2022 18:55 PM
New York - JFK International, NY (JFK)

Santiago - Arturo Merino Benitez (SCL)

1 Passenger(s)
USD 1,839.87
Total price:
USD 1,839.87

I was able to build the flights on LH.com and get the same pricing.

Booked direct with airline online. Took a bit of experimenting.

Never call. You should be able to build it directly on the airlines website or book via an OTA, but never call.

Deal works into AMS as well - ~1800 out of SFO back via MIA. LHR and CDG for about 2100

I've always had good luck booking with Priceline using the tampermonkey/greasemonkey userscript after finding the routing on matrix.itasoftware.com. It's not very easy to find your preferred routing using the search tools at priceline.com, but the link created by the userscript has never failed me.

Thank you all. I remembered from a post from long ago 'not to call' - ever.
I will experiment a bit and see what I can find booking online.
Sadly UA's website doesn't offer this... but I suppose I could still earn lifetime miles in UA flights.

Some people think that calling in is how these get found out. This ignores the fact these get find out by a computer. Plus that not all of these are "errors." Calling in is less likely to result in fare going away, then computer that detects these all the time.

Have you guys had any luck building a NYC-EU-NYC-South America pricing under $2200? Have tried many combos and no luck for anything near $1800.

any help would be appreciated (I’m probably searching incorrectly on ITA)
