Sub £600 also available ex-LHR, MAN, BHX over more dates, with short layovers both ways. Appears Sept to Nov, then Jan-Mar 23.

Edit: It appears as well as dates, the cheap fares available each day are quite limited. My options nearly evaporated in 2023 when looking at 3 seats vs being relatively plentiful when looking at 1.

The 24:05 layover in FRA reduces or almost eliminates the APD ex-UK... Maybe that's why the shorter flights are a few 100s £ more...
I would also guess these are N fares so should get 100% in most Star Alliance programs....

The over 24h layover reduces APD from long haul rates to the short haul one. Reducing the tax bill by a large margin

You’re right. APD is only £13. I was able to recreate this reservation on LH website using multi city tool. It’s £446.27 directly from the airline. Fare classes are Y for LHR-FRA and N for FRA-DXB. This ticket would earn 8524 miles in Aegean Miles&Bonus.

Since when a Economy fare (inclusive of Eco+ or eco premium) can be considered a premium ?

…….since in this case the long-haul section is in considerably greater comfort than economy, even though it fails in comparison to first-class, or even business-class. Though I note that, as usual, posters will place the bar just below their own definition of premium fares.

But with "premium" in its title, premium-economy seems a safe bet as a contender for inclusion in our forum.

And note tha here the miles are earned at the premium rate of 100% The rate awarded to the more accessible version of business-class fares (P).

Interesting, but not sure I fancy a 2am departure. Especially in PE with limited ability to sleep. Good fare though. 👍

Bumping this thread as the fare is back with short connections in Zurich. £487 on OTAs and £507 on Swiss.com.These book into Y class for the LHR-ZRH-LHR segments and N for the ZRH-DXB-ZRH segments.
