I noticed that when using flights.google.com in different part of the world it shows different travel agencies as options to book. You may want to try a VPN and try a few different countries if you are having trouble in your current country. Please update us if you were able to book it as I want to book it again soon. Sadly I used to be able to book for about 3,200 USD but now the cheapest is about 4,000, still a pretty good deal.

nufnuf77 is a travel agent, booked it himself.
Possibly a combination of no more fare class availability and/or the inability to construct the fare using online systems.
If you really want to book something like that, best to work with a TA that knows their stuff. 😉

I wanted to share my experienced booking this fare for the 5th time a couple of weeks ago. My goals were, I need it to go to Australia and on the return have a layover of a few months in the US and then return to Europe.
I used Google Flights to look for my flights, I noticed there are many options for this fare via Italy. I had noticed , like a month or two ago, there were a lot of options via Air Canada I didn't see many of those options. I tried to book using ITA Matrix and then use book with ITA Matrix website with no luck the 2 agencies suggested couldn't make the booking. I tried booking with one of the agencies recommended by Google flight and the booking was made but it didn't work, a few hours later the travel agency canceled it. I called Lufthansa and it was useful by the fact that the agent told me that some of the legs that I was seeing on Google flights were not available but he was not able to make the booking on the phone as the price didn't match Google flights price. I realized there are no flights to Australia (at least for the dates I wanted) so I had to book just to New Zealand. With that new information from the agent I changed slightly the routing and I was able to book Italy, Vienna, Canada, Chicago, Auckland, New York and Italy all that for 3,200 Euros... The way I finally booked was: Google flights suggested eDreams to make the booking. I know is not the most popular site but it did the job. I checked with all the airlines involved after booking and I am in the front the whole way.
