Never touch a DL code if you want MQDs... Go for KL/AF codes...

Metal doesn't matter as long as it is a SkyTeam carrier. You will earn based on the marketing carrier of each segment, even if on DL metal. AF flight on DL metal earns as AF (for DL credit).

Entry requirements in Dubai
I’ve read conflicting reports about proof of Covid vaccination to enter Dubai. Some report a paper CDC card record of vaccination issued in the USA is acceptable while others say vaccination record must include a QR Code. My state is among many where a QR Code is not available. I’ve read that absent the QR Code on the record of Covid vaccination, a negative PCR test within 24 hours of entry may be required. Getting results back quickly on a PCR test is also difficult. I’m traveling early next month to Dubai on AF. Has anyone traveled to Dubai recently and can share their experience with what was actually required.

Be aware that checkin at IAH required printed proof of health insurance valid in Dubai. They would not accept our Chase Sapphire letter, friend's Amex Platinum letter confirming worldwide medical, or US/Canadian insurance cards. At 5 minutes before checkin closed we had to buy a short term travel insurance policy online.

Traveled today, CDC card is fine and it now lists (at least in UA Timatic) that the US CDC card is an exception to QR.

Doing this exact routing next month and would also be interested in which airline required this and what forms of insurance were accepted? While most US policies don’t offer in-network coverage outside the US, don’t they offer it as out of network coverage (which just means higher deductibles)?
