It works on some Classic fares. It's just hit or miss in terms of routing and dates.

can confirm, also sub-2K for SEA-ATH is a pretty solid deal IMO.

Except it takes 33 hours to get there. I want to spend more time in Athens, not in the air. Going to EU via DOH is just so inefficient.

That’s a given, you are on FT after all

I found JFK-BKK round trip for $2,840 for the end of the year

You can fly Finnair all year long around that rate.

Actually less ... under $2700.

These are the cheapest I could find working with the promo code:

Houston (IAD) – New Delhi (DEL) $1,623

Houston (IAD) – Hyderabad (HYD) $1,625

SFO to ATH is also really good at $1830 roundtrip. But it also has that overnight layover of 14-15 hours.

It would be nice if they have the free stopover, but seems like it's been stopped due to COVID. They don't have the option even booking as far out as mid 2022.

It depends. Western part of EU sure. Eastern part such as Greece, not so much.

Says that the MPMEMBER code isn't valid any more.

on what route? it was working fine for ATH from some cities. This promo code seems working on some routes and not always show $550 discount as well. sometime $200-300 off but better than nothing, i guess.

any way to purchase a "R" fare and still pick seats (even at an additional cost)? Not sure I want to pay the upcharge of $300 each way to do so. Not being able to get the two middle seats together is a real drawback.

The reason you're seeing $200-300 off (presumably what you're seeing is "$275 off") is because Qatar is one of the airlines that quotes RT flights as two one-way segments. If you "complete" the booking, or at least complete the pricing process, you'll see it mete out as $275 off both one-ways. Ta da, $550.

QR most definitely does NOT quote their fares as two one ways. Maybe you mean something else, but these are 100% filed as RT fares

What the o/p meant is that during booking QR site quotes prices for each leg separately (rather than showing the r/t price right away). So, the discount is proportionately split between these two legs.
They may not be actually priced as one ways, but they are displayed as such.
