Add to the "unfortunately" list a required overnight layover in ATL. If you book it with an early morning flight to ATL (no overnight layover) and LA premium economy (more like a European business class) it goes up to > $4000

yes. Although, for some dates you can avoid ATL overnight layover, but you get LIM overnight layover.

Just FYI, Cusco and the valley all the way to Macchu Picchu is absolutely fantastic. Could have spent 10 days there-- first a few days in Cuzco getting used to the altitude, then slowly meandering through the valley to Aguascalientes, base town for MP. All lovely.

Actually, can totally avoid overnight layover for some dates. For example, this one.

LAX

^Seeing $1400+ out of LAX with no overnights in ATL or LIM around those same dates. Hmm, I might have to look into this further. 🙂

Man I love this deal! And like mentioned above there's great fares as well out of LAX to both LIM and CUZ. I found them all the way into April 2022!! Not just DL but on AM out of LAX and AA out of ORD. Traveled once to Cuzco and Machu Picchu and have dreamed of going back someday.
