TAP: SFO to various European destinations, ~$1670-1890 USD r/t
Sample Google Flights itinerary, SFO to London in November, for $1687.
Short layover on the way there, 24 hr layover in Lisbon on the way back.
Other options include Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Prague, Zurich, and more.

They have already received 1.5B Euros in aid, and will likely get 2B further this year. All airlines in Europe are in shaky grounds. So, unless we all think that only Wizz and Ryanair will be left, I would not worry about this.

TP has been awful with refunds and is the most complained against foreign airline in the US at the moment (see DOT website). I had to do several chargebacks through Amex, and for added context, Amex travel no longer sells TP tickets because of the problems they've been having. The SFO route was already on the chopping board before Covid, so I suspect this is just a cash grab.
