AA: LAX to US Virgin islands $620 (long leg lie flat seats)
Flights between LAX and MIA are operated by a B777 with lie-flat seats.
Google flights
PERMITTED MON THROUGH THU ON THE OVERWATER SEGMENT.
Until mid-June, and then again from August until the end of the year.

Also works out of SFO with similar routing (SFO-LAX-STT) for an extra $22
*Per AA, seems to also come with lounge access but not sure if it’s for the whole trip or just before you board the 777 leg. Perhaps someone can confirm

Google Flights in late August/September
Just a heads up, even if USVI are a US territory they have specific entry requirements (Negative test) , you don't need it to return to the mainland but you do need it to enter... From their website.

Book with caution if you have a strong desire to experience widebody lie flat equipment between LAX and MIA. At least in the sample flight as posted, May's schedule is purely a placeholder at this point. Also, based on current flight frequencies and time slots, I can't see AA running a flight ex-LAX middle of the night at 0130. Equipment is always subject to change, of course, especially on domestic routes.
