Just a heads-up on this fare:
the cheaper price - originally for bookings until end of march only, is now available for bookings after that date!
Tickets to be issued until Feb 01.

CAI now € 2'420 instead of € 2'650

Great work! The MCT routing dropped with 5700 THB, that is around €156.

it seems I can only make it work without stopovers. With stopovers it goes to ~8000 euros...

Use this GF-LINK and adjust to your prefered dates. If you change MCT with CAI it'll give you the approx €700 higher african option.
Some days might not be available but most are. Keep in mind travel needs to be on/before 30 Nov.

After you've found what you were looking for on Google Flights put the exact same dates into the advanced search on emirates.com.

I just cancelled and rebooked two tickets. For some reason when just trying to "change", I was quoted a 210 THB increase, due to taxes and surcharges. I booked a pair of new tickets for ~128k THB and cancelled the old ones for a ~140k THB refund. 12K THB net saved is almost $400 usd!

When are you guys booking for ? most of these destinations require quarantine or negative test to fly. Also has anyone booked and got full refund on EK website ? for the past year I've only focused on north american airlines and not sure ow good emirates is with refund.

Arghhhh, the only dates for weeks around my already booked dates that have not dropped in price, are the dates I booked (which I need).... I can take the gamble and cancel and see whether the cheaper bucket opens up, but....

Called into the US call center 800-777-3999
Got our fares lowered by $195usd per person to $2144.
We then had to submit a refund request using the following online form which we did together. Refund should be returned to the card within 8-10 business days.

I was told that there is no chauffeur service in Bangkok or Muscat.
Butchauffeur service will be available in Hong Kong, Dubai and Muscat.

Smart move! I cancelled on Monday and there's still no refund in sight. Having the booking repriced would be an easier one. #nexttime

Edit: money back after 8 days of waiting!

It seems that all my flights have been replaced by 77W for the time being . August, September, and October flights here.

CAN seems like it still is scheduled on an A380....perhaps it's worth it to try and rebook from there instead lol

October flights for me, like you, are all now 777-300ER. Death of the A380 with EK? I don't think I care all that much but I did want to use the shower at least once. Lots of time for things to change (again) between now and then I suppose.

It seems now quite impossible to reroute BKK-MCT through HKG without a reprice. It's caused by unavailability of First Flex between BKK-HKG and DXB-MCT segments. Either there is no first class service or the route is flown by FlyDubai (in business). On some days in October I managed to price it out, but availability is very spotty.

Change destination same region

Booked BKK-HKG-BKK-DXB-MCT-DXB-BKK-HKG-BKK for $2098 then changed to AMM for 2408 THBaht (~$80) add collect, if you do MCT the EK return to DXB long layover gets hotel, othersise the shorter connects are on flydubai. I opted for long layovers both DXB-AMM-DXB for 2 hotels plus meals, looking forward to virtual 777 windows even if I don't get an A380 40,000 ft shower. On a side note, flydubai cancelled a J class IST-DXB-RGN $1208 ticket and refused refund, had to get credit card dispute to refund. - still no restoration of Yangon flights 8 months later - voucher worthless. BEWARE FLYDUBAI!!!
