TAP: ORD to SVQ (Seville, Spain) from $1453

TAP has a nice sale from Chicago to Sevilla via Lisbon. This fare books into TAP J Class across the pond which credits at 200% to most Star Alliance programs while Lisbon to Sevilla is an all-Economy flight in full fare economy Y which credits at 100% to most programs, this last segment is just 200 miles each way so it varies if you receive 500 mile minimums. Assuming that you earn flown miles, it would be 16036 milesfor the TATL part and 400 miles for the intra-Europe hop for a grand total of 16436 miles.

TAP flies this route with an Airbus 330neos which are equipped with a modern cabin that features lie-flat seats and direct-aisle access.

TAP has serious cash flow issues and it's unclear about government support. Be warned.

Isn't that the case for many airlines?

It's hard to predict 2021 and what will happen with airlines... TAP has been a major contributor to Portugal tourism with their free-stopover program, so there is some incentive to support the airline. Even Aegean got Gov funds this week and they are a similar mess...

Also works to Bilbao in case you want some Game of Thrones sightseeing, good wine and excellent Seafood...

Lisbon to Bilbao is an all-Economy flight in full fare economy Y which credits at 100% to most programs, this last segment is just 450 miles each way so it varies if you receive 500 mile minimums. Assuming that you earn flown miles, it would be 16036 milesfor the TATL part and 950 miles for the intra-Europe hop for a grand total of 16986 miles.

Historically A3 has been profitable and provides vital domestic service via OA. Also A3 got the funds recently. Tap has had a bailout already if they get any more money it would be the second. Who knows Portugal might go full SAA or Alitalia on this.
