€1562-1648 ams - dps qr/tk Business

Cracking deals, looks like it's the new R fare on QR (no lounge access), and it's even cheaper on TK, but maybe it's the short-haul plane from AMS-IST, example below for March 2021, but I've found the QR fare up to Sept-21

https://www.google.com/flights?hl=en...;sc:b;sd:1;t:f

should be Q-suite the whole way on QR, on TK you get the reverse herringbone IST-DPS

The QR fare hasn't changed in months, with the exception of having lounge access and seat selection removed yesterday.

TK uses wide-body planes on the AMS-IST route, A330/77W and sometimes the 787.

I think lowest I remember it is about €1750, so it's at least €100 cheaper now

I've been watching it for a while wishing I could take a trip - it hasn't.

Bit cheaper from OSL.

Hmm, it seems about £60-80 more from OSL ?

Qsuites to DPS change like my wife's mind. Be aware. But I like the old biz too on 777 so...

armouredant Nov 10, 2020 6:10 am

Apologies, I was looking at CGK, which is marginally cheaper, ex-OSL than AMS is to DPS.

Double the price if you want lounge access and seat selection at the time of booking

So in one stroke they've lost price conscious leisure passengers, an important QR market segment, to Turkish. Bozos!

How does this work for OW Elites? I presume no access to Al Mourjan, but still status based access to the OW lounge in DOH?

At the moment TK doesn t offer proper hot meals even in business class, so its a tough choice.

Yes, this seems to be the rumour ongoing - but if you've never been to those inferior OW status based lounges at DOH, be prepared. The last time I visited one (because I had guests flying in Y and was guesting) it was small, very crowded and not the most relaxing place to be. It was close to standing room only during the peak hours. If I remember correctly, no difference between being a OW Saph or Emerald .

Cheers!

Got it. Thanks.

I've never been there (fortunate to have been in al Safwah and Mourjan), so can't comment. That said, if the earnings are still good crediting to OW partners, giving up lounge access for a big saving isn't too bad.
