Absolutely great fare, with lots of cool destinations. I have heard QR has a very good change/refund policy due to Covid19, but still the cancel fee of US$815 and change fee of $4xx is big. Not sure if the QR Covid change rules cancel those out?

Indeed great fare, thanks OP. Does the 5k distance rule apply (after 14 day window) to this fare, i.e. change DPS to SYD/AKL (although not sure about borders reopening)?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't...Also QR recently put a 787 on this route from PRG-DOH rather than A330/320...nice bonus!

yes, the change is possible as long as same fare bucket (R) is avilable.. also, the trip needs to be completed by December 31st, right?

well...not really up to date. It started with A320, second daily flight 787, then we also saw A350 for some weeks. Before Covid it was known both flights will be 330.

I have a booking that starts on the 31st in Sydney and arrives in Europe on the 1st with the last transfer in Doha at 2 am on the first of January.
The main problem with Syd (maybe AKL) I/R buckets are generally zeroed out in December in the pre-christmas period on the outbound. I got it changed while it was class of booking.
Also who knows if Australia will be open. In that case I think it counts as a involuntary changes and you could get your money back (cash) or what I imagine a lot of people would take is extending the ticket validity by 2 years.

It hasn't been officially announced. They just said it was unlikely. Which it is - unlikely.
