You will likely get zero for AA operated domestic flights unless they have an AS flight number as well. AS will NOT credit international AA flights after 2/29/20.
You must fly on a BA transatlantic and BA to MAA and those flights will earn 250% of base according to the chart here: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ritish-airways The availability for AS/BA isn’t as good but here’s an itinerary that Matrix returns for a 0-night stay https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...08a975f4a.jpeg |

Aladdinsfolly's answer is correct but didn't touch the MVP bonus. You will get the MVP bonus on the BA coded and operated flights.

Discount business class (C/D/I/R) earns 2x EQM/mile on AA and BA, your math appears based on 1.5x a ~13,000 mile one-way trip.

Is this fare gone?
I constructed few itins 3 days ago and none of them price the same |
Never realized folks spend upward of $3k on an MR. I always thought a few hundred here and there. This is fun.

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...db984ca6aa.png The fare is still available. Use the matrix construction shown in a previous post https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/31898499-post9.html returns the following available dates in April. There are also a couple of dates in March. Others have cautioned that a 2hr B2B in MAA is tight. YMMV. You can insert an extra day as shown in the attached example. This priced for me on BA US website as shown using the multicity origin-destination screen shown. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f4b8eaa5b.jpeg |

With two transfers US and two in area 2 you can actually try to route this on QR for LHR-DOH-MAA but that’s trickier. This BA fare is only good until 08Jan20. AA has similar RT fares between DFW and India but they add more fat (yq/yr) and the r/t is $200-500 more. Availability also isn’t as robust. However the big downside for AAdvantage members is that they will only earn EQD’s they spend on fare rather than a % of miles flown. BAEC fliers can turn these fares into 1200TP if done correctly. Platinum status in 2100 on CX
If you are shooting for early Platinum status
Try CX Sin-sfo for $1049 in PE. That should get you to platinum in 2 roundtrips. Might be helpful. |
