Another cheaper option to go across Atlantic from North America under $2000 USD. (ALG-BCN in economy)

A few caveats:
1. Can only find such deal from OTA
2. ALG is not necessarily the place I want to transit as at least 1 direction has long layover.
3. Miles can't be credited elsewhere.
I don't have time to check other options or other airlines but this may be a clue to some other deals.
