CI: SYD to FCO/FRA/VIE from USD 2,572 / A$3,712
Nice sale with China Airlines for travel from Australia to Europe via Taipei. Horrible layovers in most cases in TPE but overall cheap tickets ex-Australia. These all book into D Class. AMS also available at the same price (I just booked it). A350 the whole way. 17h layovers in TPE gives you a day to explore the city each way. Available ex BNE or MEL but $500-$1000 more depending on dates.
If you are buying the ticket in the month of your birth, CI's loyalty program offer 5% off for you and travelling companions (I think) if booking direct with airline. I wasn't so lucky. |
ex Europe
Seeing a few 30 day trips ex AMS for $2800+ in July also. Not as good as ex Oz, but good, I think.

They often have fares from Aus to YVR for similar pricing also. We have flown with them several times and I do enjoy their product. I sleep very well onboard with them but to be safe we book a room at the Novotel in case we want to get a few hours sleep and freshen up before heading into town. A couple of times we have even booked an extra day or two stopover as Taipei is a pretty cool city.
