via Beijing seems to be CZ Y+ AA J, via Hong Kong can be KA J +AA J

Thanks. Is there a way to see if a stopover in HKG is possible? I used the AA website but only found the very abridged fare rules.

Yes you can do, but not free, roughly $177.5 each stop

Yes upgraded to F on Trans-Pacific outbound and return at booking.
