I'm not sure if it was only that particular day but when I went to the lounge it was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING. Would not recommend more than a few hours in the lounge if the temperature is that low like probably no more than 15 degrees Celsius.

It is always like that. Last time I had 7 hours of transit and went outside the lounge regularly to warm up. Go figure.

The spot I found with reasonable temperature is at the row of tables next to where the "pizza" stand is.

I was there in early June and had to take my jacket out of my bag and put it on.

I've been there too when the Aircon wasn't working !
Now I go well prepared for either scenario.

That's the only place in the eating area where one can escape being directly under the Aircon.

Has anyone managed to extend their stopover in MLE ? Ticket indicates it's a technical stop & can't get hold of Saudia on phone.
Thank you!

Fyi
Stopover is a 1h refueling stop. Passengers continuing to JED/SIN stay on board whilst crew cleans and resupplies. No moving allowed whilst this is going on.

Thanks Digicola. The last time I checked with Saudia, they seemed to think we have to get off the flight and re-board, I guess not. It's a shame can't convert this into a Maldives side visit, but on the positive less hassle as we stay on.

the fare rules didn’t permit a stopover in MLE, but you can price up an open jaw, and add a cheap flight for MLE-SIN or vv.

Athens to Singapore as low as €847

Athens to Addis Ababa as low as €1170

Usual warning that these are OTA prices and in the case of ADD have 28+ layover/stopover on the outbound...
