Quick feedback from my trip : AUH-JED-CMB // CMB-JED-CAI.
The service onboard and food was amazing, whether on the A320 or B777, no issues at all.
The real problem was ground services. For the 2 legs I had to switch between old and new terminal in Jeddah, it’s just chaotic.
They will tell you they have bus shuttle but no one knows when it comes or goes… On my last leg, at 11pm, I was told next bus should arrive before 2am ?! The bus finally arrived 45 minutes later. At night the new terminal is completely empty and no one to assist.
It’s a shame that ground services ruined a bit the experience, but all in all was worth the money and XPs.

Any idea on how to see if it's the 777 1-2-1 or the older configuration ?

You won't get 777 1-2-1 configs.

There are 2 different 2-2-2 configurations as well on the 777, the newer one is pretty nice.

Okay so here I am at JED...

I can confirm that they haven’t moved all operations to the new terminal, so MNL, CGK, etc. so you’ll need to get the shuttle. This departs from Gate A30C (A30 is four bus gates). There are no fixed schedules but I asked one of the agents working on the CAI flight and was told it would ‘hopefully’ be within 15 mins. Indeed once about 20-30pax from ATH arrived he called for a bus.

As for on board... SV can run with the best

P.S: no smoking area in old terminal so think ahead before taking that bus

Does anyone know what seat they’re using on the 777 to MNL. I can see there are 5 rows in a 2-2-2 config.. Is it angle flat or fully flat?

Without making this thread a trip report... here are a few snaps from my CGK leg. FYI this is the 77W type ‘D’ which isn’t listed on seat guru. It’s two rows of fully flat J and the rest is all Y:

DALtoAAL and Maestro Ramen like this.

It means that when I see only two rows seat map on Expedia, it's most likely a lie flat ? Sounds great, I have found many of them on the CGK route.

I cant see the big flight operations moving this year. It looks like a building site on the tarmac.
