Visa required for layover > 12 hours

THX for posting.
Visa-free layover should not exceed 12 hours afaik. 3 of the 4 destinations (CGK beeing the exception) have stops of 13+ hours in JED.
SA has put e-visa in place, so I'm not sure if the rule still applies with this new option.

I did this route a few months ago from Tunis.. Unfortunately, the lounge in JED is horrible, and showers only have cold water. Food is okay. The airport personnel (non-lounge) is also quite hostile and aggressive. However, the service and the hard product is pretty good. Long 17.5 hour layover may be rather painful.

Great fare though Thanks!

The new e-Visa might make these much more survivable... As you can head into town and stay at a hotel or see the city (if you have one of the approved passports)

It's a great price, thanks for sharing.

Be aware that Saudi is a dry airline. No alcohol served.

Also similar deal from IST if you want wide bodies all the way (IST-MNL/CGK/KUL)

A quick link to the official visa page (others may be third party service charging extra)

https://visa.visitsaudi.com/

Even if you don't plan to see anything, you'll have to try this out.

Moderator Note

Please note that the Rules of the Premium Fare Forum (found in a sticky at the top of the forum), specifically Rule 4 states:

4. Before starting a new thread, search for similar threads. While the search options aren’t perfect, occasionally there will be some duplication of deals posted. Do not crowd the board with many iterations of the same deal.

Tips:
  • When starting a new thread, it’s helpful to include some of the airport codes that are relevant either in the title itself or in the initial post. This will help other people find that thread more easily.
  • When searching for previous postings, type in an airport code surrounded by quotation marks into the search box, and try both “Show Posts” and “Show Threads” options. This will help you greatly in finding related threads.
  • For housekeeping purposes, threads which are very similar may be merged together. Some people have a preference for many individual threads and some for as few threads as possible. We seek to strike a balance between the two.
All four threads have been merged and comments about merging etc. removed. Please note, the best way to request a moderator's attention to a matter is to use the Alert Button (the red triangle at the bottom left of a post).

Ah yes! Perfect timing. I may be inclined to fly these routes again
