UA PE SFO-BCN/MAD March through April 28 $991r/t

Just booked SFO-MAD on the UA website departing March 10, 2020, and returning on April 28, 2020 in PE for $991 USA, which is a great price. Over and return via FRA on UA's nonstop. I tried a return for early May and that price was not available. Books in R on SFO-FRA and return leg which places high in the pecking order for UG.

This would connect onto LH FRA-MAD in coach, right?

Pretty much same as all other international PE. I like it for day time flights.

On LH you get a beverage and small packaged sandwich or snack.. it would be a good deal with or without... I thought $1300 or $1400 in the PE on a UA or LH to FRA last year was a good deal and less expensive than upgradeable Y... booking into R is one fare class above full fare Y., which a moment ago was $5,409....

For same route this was discussed also here, but in business class for the later; for same price on same dates. Just that on LH flights also TATL.

I think the big bonus of PE is some of the fare buckets will net 1.5 PQMs/PQSs

Thanks Buzzman for posting this - just booked a 3-day mileage run over Presidents Day weekend next February for exactly $1,001, or 5.4 cents per PQM. I'll have a Saturday night to eat Tapas, Sunday to be a tourist, and come back Monday afternoon with no time off from work required!
