It's all part of a massive BA 2 for 1 sale, so assume all NA destinations are £1009 per person for travel from August - October.

First is £1500 per, or £1999 solo which is solid too.

On a quick search for the dates specified in OP, these are the cities I could find with the special pricing.

Press release:

Today British Airways has launched a sale offering a pair of Club World (business class) seats from just £2019 return.

There are a range of destinations available for £2019 return for two, including top US destinations such as New York, Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Washington and Dallas. Further afield the £2019 fare for two will take travellers to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Other destinations are available for marginally more including Beijing, Hong Kong and Bangkok for £2998, Mumbai, Chennai, Lagos and Abuja for £2999, Antigua for £2305, Barbados for £2332 return and Toronto for £2399.

BA Holidays deals are also available, including:
  • Dubai: Club World flights plus three nights at a 4* hotel from £1069 per person
  • New York: Club World flights plus three nights at a 4* hotel from £1199 per person
  • Las Vegas: Club World flights plus three nights at a 4* hotel from £1149 per person
  • Dominican Republic: Club World flights plus seven nights all-inclusive at a 4* hotel from just £1359 per person
And there are deals to be had in other cabins too with two First class seats to New York and Miami respectively available from £3019.

Members of the airline’s Executive Club will benefit by saving with Avios part payment, securing the same £2019 deal for two people travelling together in Club World by paying just £619 return and 261,000 Avios.

Travel is for selected dates between August 13 and September 30, 2019 and customers need to book by August 19.

To book please visit ba.com/luxury-offers.

Not necessarily direct. Found LHR-JFK-YYR pricing correctly.

Very good deal, but I find this a bit weird. BA is selling F return tickets for next week to anyone who has to book last minute on LHR-JFK for £1,500 per person, there are literally going to be people who would have paid 4-5x that who walk away with £1,500 tickets as a result. Similar situation in J, but even more extreme.

Understand the need to fill empty cabins during the summer, but if BA were going to include August it feels like they should have held this sale a couple of weeks ago.

People were not booking for next week due to the risk of a pilots strike. The Heathrow staff strike is also still on for 23/24.

It's interesting.
ba tends to have this late winter sale with similar prices at very select dates. It randomly appears I think end of October. To see it using this in August is surprising. Anyone who's booked a redemption should just refund it and book this. Taxes would be 1000+ for redemption and avios / air miles earned via cash fare depending on status would make cash cost less than 300 pp. And burning 125k with an avios 2 for 1 or 250k without would value at avios as much less than 0.5p. Also paying cash vs redemption would go significant way to earning/retaining silver status.

The problem is to find a travel companion if you're a solo flyer or your partner isn't available...

since it is a kind of a 2-for-1 fate, I don’t think the Top Exec’s who fly F last minute would find this offer since they book separate tix.
