Looks like all alliances and destinations in play from SEA as well. With AARP and Chase, this is a terrific deal.

Hello! I visited Romania last month and I was pleasantly surprised by the sights.
I traveled for a week. I visited Brasov, Sibiu and Bucharest. I traveled with my husband and my kids by plane from Vienna to Bucharest, then we booked a room at a very nice hotel in the center of the city. In Bucharest it is quite difficult to travel by public transport buses, thus we chose to rent a car for being able to visit more in Bucharest, Brasov and Sibiu. We were very pleased with the affordable prices and confortable car we rent. If you are thinking the same, I advise you to choose Premium Rent cars. |

Overall, Eastern EU destinations can be enjoyable & affordable indeed, such as Belgrade as well. |

Booked HNL-DUB for 2 weeks early-mid Dec in Z on DL (all DL HNL-SEA-JFK-DUB, AF DUB-CDG-LAX - not the 380, DL LAX-HNL) for $2472 less $400 of Delta credits. Took the return through CDG to avoid the 6 am departure from DUB on the way home.
This will get me to another year of DM on DL. SEA-DUB is the same price, but lots fewer miles. As I played around with routings to maximize miles, connecting in LAX and CDG is the longest, but I didn't choose it on the outbound because it would have meant flying the 'tired' AF 380. Also tried to book it to fly the KL 747 combi AMS-LAX, but those all priced at $4500+ and with a 6 am departure from DUB:o Thanks to the OP for this find. Great year-end MR to maintain status. |
I booked HNL-LAX-CDG-AGP (Malaga) and AGP-CDG-YVR-HNL return for less than $2,300 through the AMEXTravel.com IAP program for AMEX Platinum members. Seems like a good price for accumulating MQMs and MQDs for Skymiles (booked for next Spring).
Flights are operated by Delta, Air France, Air Europa and Westjet but all AF codeshares. |
