LATAM: RT MIA to JNB in BIZ US $2318

Never posted a fare before but I've been looking for a flight to South Africa for a while out of Florida and this seems to be one of the better prices I have come across. I saw dates available from July - Dec. Wed, Sat and Sun departures as far as I could tell and it books into Z.
Looks like you could do 1 instead of 2 stops on the way there for around $200 more.

Remember the yellow fever vaccination requirement since routing via South America.

A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is only required for travellers 1 year of age and older coming from – or who are in airport transit for more than 12 hours within – a country with risk of Yellow Fever transmission.

My wife and I are currently in South Africa after flying on ET via ADD. We did not misconnect and had the same idea that @enprenmiere raised about the 12 hour transit. But we decided to get it anyways as it lasts the rest of your life. But it can be pretty expensive (> $200 depending on where you get it). For those who travel to (or transit through) the BOG airport, it is available there for <$30 US.

Very good point, especially as there are limited immediate reroute options directly from South America to South Africa.

i looked at this for a mileage run for AA and wow, Z class (which i believe these fares book into) only earns 1 EQM - thats less than PE!! Might do the CX trip in PE from LAX (~44K EQM and 5800 EQD) for a few more bucks and less comfortable seats....
