I guess this wouldn't credit to Flying Blue because of the Etihad operated segments.

In theory it would, because they seem to have an AZ-codeshare. However, if you read the rules on Flyingblue, those AZ-coded flights do not earn.

I believe I read it has to be through AUH, hence it can only be through EY. The route follows the fare rules.
