LA/JJ: MIA-JNB from $2,311, many dates Aug onwards
Search for dates on Google Flights, then run another search with Momondo. Vayama prices these a bit lower: Availability mostly from August to end of schedule, although some dates available in June & July too.

Just tried to compare those numbers with the shorter version: GRU-JNB-GRU (currently priced from $912) --
$/EQD = 0.49
$/mi = 0.0985
