NYC-BRU has the same base fare ($362.50 each way) but charges $1200 in YR. LAS-ATL-BRU-JFK has a $675 base fare for the outbound, but a $362.50 fare on the return and a YR of just $243.20. Some interesting possibilities here.

I'm surprised that this one is in IAP. IME most Z aren't, nor are many I fares. AmEx can't explain it, but when I look at some of the complete fare rules, I see a line that it isn't eligible for further discounts, which I had always throught referred to corporate discounts.

BookWithMatrix created booking links for it. I could not replicate this through AmexTravel but you might be able to feed the information to a phone agent and see if you end up with a discount.

Can also route through ATL for suites and stop on the east cost for $1,400 (before IAP discount).

Thanks zoqfotpik!
Booked two for after Chirstmas and back about 10 days later.
LAS-JFK-BRU/BRU-ATL-SAN for $1702
Not the nicest aircraft in Delta's fleet, but the LAS-JFK segment is the only one leaving late enough to allow for a same-day early morning positioning flight on Delta from from SAN (with a 1 hr 22 min connection time).
We plan to travel a little by train. I wonder if any cities in Belgium or nearby are good for New Year's Day? I'm only familiar with Antwerp, which I liked.

Nice find. I just booked LAS-AMS (non-stop KLM flight), BRU-ATL (non-stop DL), for December 22-January 5, on delta.com for $1484.73 (Z). It has jumped to $1638 already.
What is crazy is that main cabin fares go for $4500!!
