QR: USA to Australia in Business $3950 ($3,575 with Amex IAP)

Qatar has a promo business (R) fare between US and Australian cities for ~$3,950. The Amex Platinum International Airline Program drops the price to ~$3,575. To find dates to plug into Amex Travel, search first on qatarairways.com. Book by May 31.

Examples:

MIA-DOH-MEL -- $3,572

JFK-DOH-SYD -- $3,576

Not sure I have the time to book another one of these before EOS, but does "USA" include any west coast cities?

Didn't see any from LAX (which I think is QR's only west coast location???) for the 2020 dates I tried.

That's correct. QR doesn't offer fares to Australia from LAX, its only west-coast destination.

If you can get to Texas, I believe I saw DFW-ADL and IAH-ADL at the promo price.

For AA EQM and EQD, better to use the AA/QF deals taht are available our ot YYZ/YUL and just position there. QR only provides 1.5x eqm, vs 2x/3x EQM and 25% - 40% EQD on AA/QF special fares via AA Vacations. Also, for the dame $3500 on AA vacations you can have your hotel room included in MEL and BNE for a 7 day trip (5 nights hotel stay). Y class flights from MEL and BNE to SYD are cheap (sub $200).
