BA First/Biz sale

Inspired by another thread, but I'm seeing pretty good pricing on BA/AA for both business and first class fares mid-week.

Example:
$3599 MIA-CDG First Class
$5296 LAX-CDG First Class
Business is not a screaming deal but more competitive than usual:
$2786 JFK-CDG Business Class
$2065 JFK-BRU Business Class
$2944 LAX-CDG Business Class

Fares appear to only be good through end of year.

One more fare: SFO-BOM FIRST CLASS $4644. Other carriers are in the $20K range

JFK-TXL in J can be done for $1492 w/ AARP disc and even more if you have Chase BA card... although that's covered in the other thread.

JFK-BRU as low as $1500 w/ AARP disc.

I realize even relatively close cities often have surprisingly different airfares, but an extra $700 to fly into Paris versus Brussels? It's 150 miles away! And you can take the TGV nonstop directly from CDG to Brussels! (For only €55 even in first class!)

Flying to BRU rather than PAR is often cheaper and if you are flexible it might be a good idea. You will pay $700 more if you don’t want to deal with a connection, want to use the AF lounge or find the CDG/ORY airport environment to be more pleasant than the environment of BRU. PAR may also save you a few hours or offer better frequencies.

When it works for me, I fly through BRU and save a few dollars.

On the west coast it is similar - for example, flying oneworld carriers SFO-TYO biz class runs around $6K, LAX-TYO is $5K. Many times the differential is even larger - because you couldn't possibly take a $200 RT flight to LAX from SFO.

Yup, agree fully. Back in November, when DL was having a SM J mileage sale, I was able to snag two J tickets, for 98,000 miles ea., for MIA-JFK-BRU travel in May, 2019. If I wanted to land at CDG, our desired destination, they wanted 620,000 miles ea! Yes, the equipment to BRU is not the latest and greatest(a 763) but, hey, for that kind of savings, we'll manage the hard product "downgrade!"

Just booked IAH-AMS in first for $3500 USD on the 787. About ~1000 cheaper than the other return flights due to 12 layover at LHR. I saw IAH-CDG this morning for ~4000.

For those of us on the West Coast, I'm seeing $3242 for SEA-CPH in F with the return involving a 17 hour layover in LHR. I'd be curious to see how much Amex's IAP would bring the final cost down versus the AARP and Visa combo.

Got Mine: $4400. all in RT With Chase and AARP discount: SFO-LHR-DEL-LHR-SFO
Super fare. Departing February return Febuary.

Did the above ticketing a few months ago, might be cheaper now.

I did not try AMEX International airline program. Perhaps I should have.
