Skyteam or Oneworld : $1,785 RT Business IAH - MXP

- lovely fares to Europe with many dates in fall/ winter
- Oneworld is a little more expensive, plenty of routings

I've updated the thread title accordingly.

Great fare, OP, especially ex-USA. It is available during summer season if anyone is so inclined - June 25 - July 13 is $1,875 on BA routing IAH-LHR-MXP return. This is searchable on Google Flights.

OW fare rules allow for quick turnaround - e.g. Friday departure, Saturday arrival, Sunday return. Sunday is the earliest time for return after arrival at this fare.

ST fare is dead?

Combine it with the $200 BA AARP discount and you've got yourself a really great deal to Europe in the Summer. Fare also works into Linate Airport (LIN), but Linate airport will be closed from July 27-October 27.

The fare allows stopovers, too - $200 each.

This actually fits really well with some plans of mine, so thank you for posting OP - really great fare.

I ended up purchasing IAH-LHR // LHR-MXP // MXP-LHR-LAS-PHX-IAH. I'll jump off in Las Vegas once I hit home. Cost per passenger was $2,179.33. I used ITA Matrix to pull up the itinerary, BookWithMatrix to generate a bookable link, and then went through the American Airlines site to actually book it (and was able to use a bunch of gift cards from various American Airlines credits).

Pretty stoked for a couple of days in Milan at the end of a trip I was already taking.

No seasonality, 12h minimum stay, and

Code:
  OUTBOUND -
PERMITTED TUE THROUGH FRI ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
  INBOUND -
PERMITTED SUN THROUGH THU ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
I don't see a fare that permits stopovers. ST version seems dead.

Assume booking with AA means no AARP $200 discount could be used?

The AA product looks sketchy as does that of BA. Anyone have have insight into what routes and days have a better product? I guess it's a good price for great PE.
