AA LAX-HKG $756 PE Special Fare

This is a bulk/consolidator fare I stumbled on while running a search for a client. Book with your travel agent; may be available through OTAs as well. Nice savings over published fares, but dates look very limited...also available one-way at about half this price.

Looks like it earns 100 BA Tier Points each way.

Only flown it domestic DFW-LAX. Liked the seats, pillow, blanket and IFE. Can't comment on cuisine, but from what I gather, if the purchase decision is winnowed down to that, you're probably not going to be pleased.

Flew it from AMS - DFW once on a 777. Seats are as good as CX, food is not as good as CX but slightly better then BA PE. But if I remember correctly, they used plastic cups for wine, not a glass.

What's the EQM/EQD on this? Is it according to AA special fares table? Should it have an asterisk (like what they say on AAvacations.com) to earn at the special fares rate?

It is a consolidator fare, so should earn 27,729 21,735 EQM (1.5x) and $2,898 EQDs (20% of flown miles). If offered through AAvacations.com you should see an asterisk next to it--that notation is specific to AAVacations.com, though, as far as I know.

UA also has some for not much more, e.g. $974 LAX-HKG: https://flights.app.goo.gl/DE4Cg

These earn 150%, so you're getting about 4.4cpm in PE.

The 20% sounds right, maps to 14490 miles. But EQM at 1.5 times that is 21,735 not 27,729. It's closer to what you'd earn in RDMs with status (EXP @ 2.2 * 14490 = 31,878 and Plat Pro @ 1.8 * 14490 = 26,082)
NYC Flyer, cxrop and E55 like this.

on 787 and 777 it is very good, esp if you can get bulkhead seats.

Hey NYC flyer, dumb question but is this bookable online? Not finding it on google flights and I'm not an OTA expert *yet*.

Thanks,
