Booking through AA vacations will sometimes show "special fares" these are indicated with an asterisk after the fare code. For example my flight is fare code I*. "Special Fares" earn EQD and EQM based on mileage per AA's chart. I've been trying weekday dates in August; for those, I can't find it on expertflyer fare search but it does show up on the JAL website. Can you be more precise about how you got it to work? Thanks!

JL actually has similar fare via KIX in August on JL codes (getting screenshot from their website was too involved).
A search in August on AA.com for random dates yielded this (searched by lowest fares, not specifically business).
LAX-BKK on AA/JL
