MOW-BKK on KC in J 1250 USD

Qatar sale finished yesterday (USD 1,500) but Air Astana launched its sale instead. Book by 14 February. Bargain at no alliance miles given flat seats on a relatively short (though) ALA-BKK.

Next best EY and GF at ~1,400. Alliance miles from 1,600.

PEK is ~1,100

KUL, HKG is ~1,250

Some prices are set not looking into the market (ie much lower), but Bangkok is for sure the most competitive route.

Sure you don't want to spend ~20 hours in narrow-body with recliner?

You can spend them in the back of the wide body for that much

Plenty of options in wide-body for at least 200EUR cheaper on the same route. And in Y I would argue there is not much difference between narrow-body and wide-body. My point is that it is not apples-to-apples comparison between the route posted in OP and what you're hinting at.
