What I'm trying to say

What i'm trying to say is I booked a flight initially that showed as Delta farecodes. Using the chart below, Utskicat, i should have received FF credit for the Jet legs. They were "Z". But when i booked it and checked, i didn't receive the Jet legs. I know from first hand experience how this chart should work. I've gotten stubbed on it before. I asked the Delta agent and she said that it was a "special fare" and said something about how it had to be marketed by Delta and that this must be marketed by either a partner or expedia, as it most definitely was NOT giving me credit. Just wanting to warn others, as I was expecting credit based on the chart below too. I just ask everyone to check with their airline to make sure they're getting FF credit after booking. You have 24 hours to cancel it. But according to that chart below, YES, I should have received credit. But i did not. I don't want others to fall into that quaqmire.

Even MSP is in on this party, which is *very* rare. I'm seeing $2009 for mostly KLM metal to India in late July. Amazing!
about 26,000 MQMs is a great treat.

I am not trying to sound ungrateful, because I LOVE that this deal gets posted, but it feels like I am stuck in Groundhog Day.

Isn't there a way we can set the deal straight on the earnings on these fares because it seems like it is the same discussion every time?

I booked KLM metal in Z class and am crediting to DL. I called DL and they confirmed it would earn Skymiles (200%), MQMs (150%), and MQDs (40%), all of miles flown.

Just to clarify industry terms (as previously mentioned in another post) Expedia is NEVER the "marketing carrier". The marketing carrier is just the carrier whose flight number is on the ticket. Expedia is just the travel agency. In your case, it sounds like you had an exception fare (bulk fare). If the Jet operated flights were listed as DL flight numbers, you would earn on Delta's exception fare policy. (See DL website). On an exception fare booked into Z with DL flight number booked on Jet, you WOULD get credit. I would fight this with Delta. If the exception fare had pure Jet flight numbers, I have to admit, I don't what the policy is there for exception fares.

I'm very aware of what you write, Utskicat. The table you linked supports this. I had the same argument with the Diamond agent on the phone. Her response: "must be a special fare" and "sometimes if it's a special fare like this it just doesn't qualify". I, too, assumed I would get full credit for those Jet legs...as this is Delta policy. The agent said Expedia or someone else must have marketed the flight...that wasn't me. I'm just repeating what I was being told by the Diamond agent. I'm just telling people to beware, because in this scenario the Delta policy (as it appears) does not hold true. And who you gonna fight this with exactly? The Diamond agent? lol. Good luck fighting this with an actual body at Delta.....i've tried this before with MQMs on a Jet flight and I wasn't exactly "David" in that battle. So don't shoot the messenger when i'm trying to help others from falling into that Delta trap. ALWAYS check your MQMs with Delta directly after booking. ALWAYS.

Here is the link to their exception/bulk fare policy: https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...ion-fares.html Special fares are eligible for credit and MQM.

A diamond agent is not the one who gets to make this call. Call back. Ask to be transferred to a Skymiles Account Specialist. Its a seperate department. Or reach to Twitter, the Twitter agents will contact the correct department. You should get credit from this based on what you have posted. I would not give up.

The fact that the agent called the flight "marketed by Expedia" proves the point they did not know what they were talking about. Also...I have several Diamond friends that have reported lately that the Diamond line has just been going around wait queues but not actually being serviced by special diamond agents. One agent was apparently only on the second week of the job they said. So just because you call the Diamond (Or Gold or Platinum line) doesn't necessarily mean you are talking to anyone who is an authority.

DM Desk has really gone downhill. And the agents are wrong more often than they are correct nowadays - sad, really.

Having said that, I've never been successful in being transferred to SkyMiles account support - they always say they don't talk to customers directly and we must use a DM Desk agent or Supervisor as a conduit...

Have you been able to talk to them directly ever before? I'm sincerely curious

If I have an AF ticket and fly AF flight 5099, I will NOT earn credit on Delta because the operating carrier is Air Mauritius.

Elizabeth will get credit for her flights in this instance becuase Joon is a subsidiary of AF and specifically spelled out on the Delta website as eligible for earning. But just because you have an AF ticket and an AF flight number does not mean you will get credit according to the AF chart. Makes sense that you've messed up in the past.
You are, of course, right about the metal. I wasn't thinking outside the immediate discussion about Joon/AF/KLM/Delta. As for why I had a problem once, a travel agent linked my ticket to my FB account and I didn't notice until after the flight and AF wouldn't reverse the credit. First and last time I've made that mistake.

Good advice on the Skymiles Account Specialist. Will do! Thanks!

I just did CMB-BOM-AMS-SFO with a 006 ticket purchased on delta.com in Z, all DL codeshares with DL flight numbers. The first two were operated by Jet and the last leg was on KL.

How does one know whether the standard Delta "5-12 miles/$ spent" rule applies or the Exception fare rule applies for mileage credit?

Since I did not know where to credit I left my Skymiles number off and have now sent an email to Virgin FlyingClub asking for credit for the Jet legs as those appear to be at 200%. If I get rejected by VS can I try DL?

Delta Mileage Credit Request Screen

My eTicket receipt definitely said "Z" but here all the flights are showing up as C (and without their DL codeshare numbers). Shows they have earned 0 across the board. Should I click "Submit"?

Can't hurt. But personally i'd just go cancel the fare. By the time you hear back, your fare may be non-refundable...
