LAX - SGN for $1087 on SQ as well. Haven't checked but I'm sure there other destinations as well.

Are these fares upgradeable with miles? Is that something that even makes sense to do?

Edit: Booking Class P is upgradeable with miles, but not certain it makes sense to do so.

Booking Class is P so these won't have the issue that some other SQ sales have had... should give 100% or more in most programs. Alaska also credits at 100% RDM and EQMs...

100% credit to UA as well. Tried to book LAX-SGN RT but there's a maximum 30 day period on this fare so it doesn't fit into my plans. Was hoping to use this as positioning flights for my Cathay J itinerary. Is there another way to get the reduced fare on 30+ day itinerary?

SQ website says that upgrading SIN-LAX into J would be 57k miles for a saver award. Does anyone know whether this would cover both legs as there is a stopover in NRT?

My SQ agent is quoting me 65k each way from LAX-SIN, is it due to two segments?
